He has been performing in local bars since the age of 15 and is mentored by Barry Williams, Jason Aldean's father. He is famous for re-singing covers of popular country music songs, drawing over 3.7 million viewers to YouTube. One of the artists who discovered his video was Justin Moore, who chose him for his "Off the Beaten Path" tour. Rager signed with Broken Bow Records in 2014. Rager released his first single, "Southern Boy", via Broken Bow in February 2016. The song featured Aldean with vocals. The duo, written by Luke Laird, Barry Dean, Jeremy Stover and Jaron Boyer, with Stover also producing. Jordan Rager's second single, "Now That I Know Your Name" was released on national radio on September 19, 2016. Jordan said goodbye to Broken Bow and signed with his current label, Riser House Records in 2017
