Kerkor "Kirk" Kerkorian war ein armenisch-amerikanischer Geschäftsmann, Investor und Philanthrop. Kerkorian war armenischer Abstammung und stellte über seine Lincy Foundation, die 1989 gegründet wurde und sich insbesondere auf den Wiederaufbau Nordarmeniens nach dem Erdbeben von 1988 konzentrierte, über 1 Milliarde US-Dollar für wohltätige Zwecke in Armenien zur Verfügung. Kerkorian stellte auch Geld zur Verfügung, um sicherzustellen, dass ein Film über die Geschichte des Völkermords an den Armeniern gedreht wird.
