Marshall Manesh ist ein iranisch-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Als Manesh ein Kind war, starb sein Vater; er wurde von seiner Mutter erzogen, von der er glaubte, dass sie die Kraft hatte, in der Unterhaltungswelt erfolgreich zu sein. Er kam Mitte der 1970er Jahre in die Vereinigten Staaten, trat der Persian Theatre Troupe bei und reiste acht Jahre lang durch die Vereinigten Staaten, Kanada und Europa. Ihr Filmdebüt war True Lies unter der Regie von James Cameron. Seitdem hat er in über 100 Filmen, TV-Projekten und über 40 Werbespots mitgewirkt. Manesh trat in wiederkehrenden Rollen in den Fernsehsendungen Will & Grace, Scrubs, Andy Barker, PI, Hot in Cleveland, Boston Legal und vor allem in How I Met Your Mother auf, wo er die Rolle des Taxifahrers Ranjit spielt. Obwohl Ranjit in der Serie als Bangladeshi dargestellt wird, übermittelte Manesh einige Zeilen in seiner Muttersprache Farsi.
