Udupi Rajagopalacharya Ananthamurthy ist ein zeitgenössischer Kannada-sprechender indischer Schriftsteller und Kritiker. Er blieb bis zu seinem Tod durch Misserfolg ein überzeugter Kritiker nationalistischer politischer Parteien. Nieren- und Herzstillstand am 22. August 2014.
