Victor Lemonte Wooten ist ein US-amerikanischer Bassist, Musiker und Plattenproduzent. Seit der Gründung der Gruppe 1988 ist er Bassist von Béla Fleck und Flecktones und ist zusammen mit zwei weiteren Bassisten Stanley Clarke und Marcus Miller Mitglied der SMV-Gruppe. Von 2017 bis 2019 nahm er als Bassist für die Metal-Band Nitro auf. Er besitzt Vix Records, wo seine Alben veröffentlicht werden. Er schrieb den Roman Musikstunde: Den Geist finden, durch Musik zu wachsen. Am 2. Februar 2021 veröffentlichte er dann eine Fortsetzung des Buches The Spirit of Music: The Lesson Continues. Wooten erhielt fünf Grammy Awards. Er wurde dreimal mit dem Bass Player of the Year Award des Bass Player Magazine ausgezeichnet und ist der erste, der ihn mehr als einmal gewonnen hat. Im Jahr 2011 wurde er in den Top 10 All Time Bass Players des Rolling Stone Magazine auf Platz 10 gewählt.
