Waleed Sami Abulkhair ist ein saudi-arabischer Anwalt und Menschenrechtsaktivist und Leiter der Organisation Monitor of Human Rights in Saudi-Arabien. Januar 2015 kehrte der Fall an das Berufungsgericht zurück, woraufhin der Richter die Erhöhung des vorherigen Urteils beantragte, weil Abulkhair sich weigerte, sich zu entschuldigen. Somit wurde das Urteil auf 15 Jahre vollstreckt. Als Antwort darauf betete Abulkhair um Gottes Sieg und weigerte sich, die Legitimität des spezialisierten Strafgerichtshofs anzuerkennen.
