Wilko Johnson is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is a member of the rock / rhythm and blues music group Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Johnson was known for the peculiar style of guitar playing he achieved by not using prologue but on fingerstyle. This allows him to play rhythmic guitar and riff or solo at the same time, creating a very powerful guitar sound. Johnson and Dr. Feelgood had an influence on the punk movement in Britain. Paul Weller said of Johnson: "Wilko may not be as famous as some other guitarist, but he's right there. And there's a lot of people who will say the same thing. Lots of places. Legacy."
