Two lovers named Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan are from culturally opposing backgrounds and are put in a conflicting situation because of it. Along with society, their parents also differ on their relationship, forcing them to decide if there love for each other is more important than the love of their parents. This film is semi-based on Chetan Bhagat's real life story.
