Cesar Leonardo Tovar, nicknamed "Pepito" and "Mr. Multipurpose", is a Venezuelan professional baseball player who has played in Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics and the New York Yankees. Tovar is an extremely versatile player, able to play in a variety of defensive positions on the pitch. In 1968, he became the second player in MLB history to play all nine field positions in a single game, a feat first achieved by Bert Campaneris in 1965. Tovar also had one. A prolific career in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, where he played 26 seasons - just behind Vic Davalillo's 30.
