Eric Bryan Lindros is a former professional Canadian ice hockey player. Lindros was born in London, Ontario, but raised in Toronto. He played junior hockey with the Ontario Hockey Federation for the Oshawa Generals before being selected for the first time in the 1991 NHL Draft competition by the Quebec Nordiques. He refused to play for the Nordiques and was eventually traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in June 1992 in exchange for a player and draft options package that included Peter Forsberg. During his OHL career, Lindros led the generals to Memorial Cup victory in 1990. Before entering service in 1991, Lindros won the Red Tilson Trophy as a player in the League. best in the OHL, and was also named CHL Player of the Year. Lindros began his National Hockey League career with the Flyers during the 1992-1993 season. He is a model striker and averages over a point per game.
