He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990. Known for his ability to use clubs at close range, he is considered to be one of the most skillful playing centers of all time. He was the first player in the Sabers draft in their first NHL season. He is known as the centerpiece of the prolific Sabers attacking trio known as The French Connection. In 2017, Perreault was named one of the 100 greatest NHL players in history. Perreault is an outstanding young hockey player who was nine times the Official NHL All-Star Team twice, once officially selected for the NHL All-Star Team, a Calder winner. Memorial Trophy, a Lady Byng Trophy winner and a Hockey Hall of Fame.
