His works are in many public collections, including works in the National Art Gallery, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Smithsonian Museum of American Art, National Gallery of Australia, China, Des Moines Art Center, Walker Art Center and the Museum of Fine Arts. When Graves was only 29, she had a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art. At the time, she was the youngest artist and the fifth woman to achieve this honor.
