Rigdon Osmond Dees III, also known as Rick Dees, is an American artist, radio station, comedian, actor and voice actor best known for his national radio show. The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown and the 1976 novel "Disco Duck". In 2007, he sang the theme song for the TV show Rick and Steve. Dees is an Audience Award winner, a Grammy-nominated performer, and a Television Hall of Fame freelance artist. He performed the title track from the movie Meatballs. He co-founded E. W. Scripps Fine Living, now the kitchen channel, and hosted Rick Dees in the Morning at 102.7 KIIS FM and Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles. Today, he continues his own registered daily radio show, the Daily Dees and counts down to the first 40 weeks Rick Dees.
