Tao Porchon-Lynch is an American yoga master and award-winning author of French and Indian origin. She discovered yoga in 1926 when she was only 8 years old in India and studied with Sri Aurobindo, B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois, Swami Prabhavananda and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. At the age of 101, she teaches a weekly class in New York City and runs programs around the world. She is the author of two books, including the autobiography Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, which won the IPPY award in 2016 and three International Book awards in 2016. Previous preface, Deepak Chopra said: "One of the most acclaimed yoga teachers of our century, Tao Porchon-Lynch ... for me is a mentor, the embodiment of the spirit of yoga and an example of the Ageless Body, the Mind of Time. Like yoga, it teaches us to let go and there is always a subtle awareness. "

At the age of 93, the Guinness Book of World Records named her the world's oldest yoga teacher. She was also a former couture model and actress, with roles in films such as Show Boat (1951) and The Last Time I Saw Paris (1954).
