Carman Griffin Maxwell is an American animator and voice actor. Maxwell was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, then moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He began his career at Walt Disney, where Maxwell, along with Hugh Harman, Rudolf Ising, and Friz Freleng, were part of the unit that eventually split from Disney to form the core of what would later become a studio. Warner Bros. Animation In addition to hosting Harman-Ising, Maxwell also performed the voice of their most famous creator, Bosko. Maxwell was also the production director of the animation studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, working there until 1953.
