Hamish Glencross is a Scottish guitarist best known for her work with British metal band My Dying Bride. He also co-founded the short-lived Blackdoom Records with the band's other guitarist, Andrew Craighan, who released The Prophecy's debut album, Ashes. Born in Dundee, Scotland, Glencross had a short acting career before focusing on music, most notably in the British children's television series Children Ward. Prior to joining My Dying Bride, Glencross played guitar for Bradford alternative rock band Driftwood, British progressive metal band Seer's Tear, and Leeds punk / metal band Apocalypso. He was a member of the British doom metal band Solstice performing on their album New Dark Age. In 1999, he replaced My Dying Bride guitarist Calvin Robertshaw before the band toured for the album The Light at the End of the World. In 2011, he also played the lead guitar in British death metal band Vallenfyre, appearing on albums A Fragile King and Splinters released on Century Media Records.
