James Honeyman-Scott is an English rock guitarist, musician and founding member of The Pretenders. With Pretenders, Honeyman-Scott built a reputation, in AllMusic's words, "one of the most original and versatile guitarists in the new wave movement in the early 1980s". In addition to being the main guitarist, Honeyman-Scott also co-composed several songs for the band, accompaniment and played the keyboard on a number of tracks. The song "2000 Miles" was written for him by Chrissie Hynde and released the year after his death.
