Lonnie McIntosh, known as Lonnie Mack, is an American singer and guitarist. He was a pioneer in blues-rock music and melodious rock guitar solos. Mack emerged in 1963 with LP, The Wham of Memphis Man. The album earned him enduring fame both as a blue-eyed soul singer and a rock guitar innovator. In the musical instruments on the album, Mack introduced "sharp, powerful, loud and fast" blues and performed in the chord and riff format of early rock guitar. These tracks raised the proficiency of rock guitar and led to the beginning of the development of electric guitars to the forefront of the melodious rock solo instruments. During the 1960s, these tracks formed a style pattern for major guitarists in two new genres, blues-rock and Southern rock. However, as soon as the album was released, the hugely popular "Invasion of the UK" hit the coasts of America and Mack's career "fell apart".
