Andrew Colin Cottam is an English cricketer. He is a right-hand pitcher and a slow left-hand pitcher. He played 2 games under the age of 19 in 1992 and 13 first class matches from 1992 to 1996. His father was a cricketer and coach Bob Cottam. In 1990 Andy Cottam started playing for Somerset Second XI and Devon. In 1992, he was selected for the Pakistani U19 tournament and played in the third test and 2 matches per day against the Pakistani U19 team. That summer he played six times in the district championship for Somerset and in the Under-19 test against Sri Lanka, when he won four points for 69 games in the first half. However, in 1993 he was unable to make it to Somerset First XI except for a one-day match against Kent. In 1994 he moved to Northants but did not play for the first team and he signed with Derbyshire in 1995. He played in 4 district championship games and in a varsity match and was released at the end of the season.
