Lashundra Trenyce Cobbins is an American actress and singer known for her second season runner-up title for American Idol and her work in the musical industry. Growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, Trenyce earned one of the NAACP ACT-SO categories as a teenager and attended the University of Memphis on a music scholarship. In 2004, Trenyce began to focus on theater, with plays Not a Day Goes By, The Vagina Monologues, Soul Kittens Cabaret and Mama's Sweet Potato Pie. In 2006, she starred in Deena Jones in the Indianapolis musical Dreamgirls. She made her film debut in 2008 and became the first American Idol contestant to appear on a show in Las Vegas. She was born as Portia in the play Love in the Nick of Tyme by David E. Talbert. Trenyce performed on the North American tour of the musical Ain't Misbehavin 'in 2009. From 2010 to 2013, she was the lead singer of the Thriller - Live series during her European tour and her performance in the West End.
