Little Mix are a British girl group, consisting of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock; former member Jesy Nelson departed the group in December 2020. The group rose to fame in 2011 by becoming the first group to win The X Factor, and signed with Simon Cowell's record label, Syco Music. The group have a powerful sound that combines pop, R&B, and dance music. They have become known and praised for their strong group vocals, harmonies, and performances, as well as their songs about female empowerment, unity, and LGBT rights. The group are often referred to by the media as one of the biggest girl group in the world. Little Mix are one of the most successful female acts in contemporary British popular culture. The group have had five UK number-one singles: "Cannonball" their winner's single in 2011, "Wings" in 2012, "Black Magic" in 2015, "Shout Out to My Ex" in 2016 and "Sweet Melody" in 2021.

Group formed during season eight of Britain's The X Factor that would sign with Simon Cowell's Syco Music after winning the competition. They had earned four platinum-certified albums and eleven certified singles in the UK as of 2016.

They opened for Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour in 2017. They won 2015 and 2016 Teen Choice Awards as well as Brit Awards in 2017 and 2019.
