Guru Tegh Bahadur dieksekusi atas perintah Aurangzeb, kaisar Mughal keenam, di Delhi, India. Tanah suci Sikh Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib dan Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib di Delhi menandai tempat eksekusi dan kremasi Guru Tegh Bahadur. Kemartirannya dikenang sebagai Shaheedi Divas Guru Tegh Bahadur setiap tahun pada tanggal 24 November, menurut Kalender Nanakshahi yang diterbitkan oleh Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Commission pada tahun 2003
