De-Lovely is a 2004 American musical biopic directed by Irwin Winkler and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The screenplay by Jay Cocks is based on the life and career of Cole Porter, from his first meeting with his wife, Linda Lee Thomas, until his death. It is the second biopic about the composer, following 1946's Night and Day.

This musical biopic is about the American composer and songwriter Cole Porter. While laying on his deathbed, he begins to reminisce about his life and the complexity of he and his late wife, Linda Lee Thomas' relationship over the years. The film first premiered in June 2004.

Achievement of De-Lovely

The film received two awards and exactly 13 nominations including two nominations at the 2005 Golden Globes. During the movie, Kevin Kline actually plays the piano himself in the scenes where his character plays. This was the final film that singer Natalie Cole ever appeared in.
