Andrew Cheshire è un chitarrista jazz americano. Da bambino, Cheshire suonava il piano ma passò alla chitarra all'età di 10 anni. Mentre studiava belle arti, suonava jazz in gruppi locali di Long Island, New York. Nel 1980, Cheshire si trasferì a Brooklyn, dove iniziò a frequentare jam session in club come il Blue Coronet e il Pumpkins.
