Andrew Fisher è un politico australiano che ha servito tre mandati separati come Primo Ministro dell'Australia - dal 1908 al 1909, dal 1910 al 1913 e dal 1914 al 1915. È stato un leader del Partito laburista australiano dal 1907 al 1915. Fisher era nato a Crosshouse, Ayrshire, in Scozia. Lasciò la scuola in giovane età per lavorare nelle vicine miniere di carbone, diventando segretario della sezione locale dell'Ayrshire Miners' Association all'età di 17 anni. Fisher emigrò in Australia nel 1885, dove continuò a rimanere un sindacalista.
