Arthur Meighen era un avvocato e politico canadese che ha servito come nono primo ministro del Canada, in carica dal luglio 1920 al dicembre 1921 e di nuovo da giugno a settembre 1926. Ha guidato il Partito Conservatore dal 1920 al 1926 e dal 1941 al 1942. Meighen è nato nella contea rurale di Perth, nell'Ontario. La sua famiglia proveniva da Bovevagh vicino a Dungiven nella contea di Londonderry, nell'Irlanda del Nord. Ha studiato matematica all'Università di Toronto, per poi passare alla Osgoode Hall Law School.
