Edmund Jennings Randolph is an American lawyer and politician. He is Virginia's 7th governor and as a delegate of Virginia he attended the Constitutional Convention and helped create the national constitution while serving on its retail committee. He was the first attorney general of the United States and then the second secretary of state during the presidency of George Washington.
