Edward Allington
Edward Thomas Allington è un artista e scultore inglese, noto soprattutto per il suo ruolo nel movimento New British Sculpture degli anni '80. Nato a Troutbeck Bridge, Westmorland, da Ralph Allington e sua moglie Evelyn, Allington ha studiato al Lancaster College of the Arts 1968-1971, alla Central School of Art and Design di Londra 1971-1974 e al Royal College of Art 1983-1984. Era uno studente all'Exeter College of Art and Design 1975-1977. Ha vinto il John Moores Liverpool Exhibition Prize nel 1989, è stato ricercatore in scultura presso l'Università di Leeds dal 1991 al 1993 e borsista in studi di scultura presso la Manchester Metropolitan University nel 1993. Ha ricevuto un premio artistico mentre lavorava alla British School a Roma nel 1997.
