George Herbert
George Herbert è stato un poeta, oratore e sacerdote gallese. La sua poesia è associata alle opere di poeti metafisici ed è riconosciuto come "uno dei poeti lirici più ferventi della Gran Bretagna". È nato in una famiglia di artisti benestante e ampiamente cresciuta in Inghilterra. Ricevette una buona educazione che lo portò all'ammissione al Trinity College di Cambridge nel 1609.
