Jim Tressel
James Patrick Tressel is an American football coach and college administrator, currently the Dean of Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to becoming a director, Tressel was the head football coach of the Youngstown State Penguins and then the Ohio State Buckeyes team in a career spanning 1986-2010. Tressel's teams have won several national championships throughout. of his career, which has earned him numerous awards. Tressel was born in Mentor, Ohio and attended Baldwin - Wallace University, where he played midfield football under the guidance of his father, Lee Tressel. Tressel succeeded Bill Narduzzi as head coach of Youngstown State's 4th football team in 1986 and remained there until 2000. In 2001, he was named John Cooper's successor as coach.
