Amelio "Mel" Dinelli is an American writer for theater, radio, film and magazine, often in the suspenseful genre. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from Albuquerque High School. He joined the Albuquerque Little Theater Company in its first season in 1931, performing in two plays alongside future I Love star Lucy Vivian Vance. After that, he attended the Pasadena Playhouse Theater Art School and the University of Washington.
