Eerik-Niiles Kross
Eerik-Niiles Kross is an Estonian politician, diplomat, former intelligence chief and businessman. He is a member of Congress. During the 1980s, Kross was a leading figure in the nonviolent anti-Soviet resistance movement in a Soviet-occupied Estonia. After re-independence, in 1991, he joined the Estonian Foreign Ministry. He was chief of intelligence from 1995 to 2000; and national security adviser to former President Lennart Meri in 2000 and 2001. Kross represented Estonia as a diplomat in Britain from 1990 to 1992; then in the United States from 1992 to 1995. Internationally, Kross is best known as a security specialist, having worked in Iraq as senior director of the interim agency, the alliance is responsible for creating the new Iraqi Ministry of Defense and Military Intelligence. He was an adviser to the Georgian government during and after the 2008 war against Russia. He coordinated Georgia's information campaign.
