Paivi Rasanen
Päivi Maria Räsänen, née Kuvaja, is a Finnish politician. As female president of the Christian Democratic Party from 2004 to 2015, she was Finnish Minister of the Interior from 2011 to 2015. As a medical graduate, Räsänen became involved in politics in the early 1990s, s 'was presented to parliament in 1991. She has been a member of Riihimäki City Council since 1993 and of the Finnish Parliament since 1995. She was elected President of the Christian Democratic Party on October 2, 2004.
