Angela Lonsdale, is an English actress. Born to a police father, Lonsdale's passion for theater was demonstrated at the Brewery Youth Theater at the Brewery Arts Center in Kendal. Working behind the box office, her talent was nurtured by then-director of the Arts Center, Anne Pierson. She has appeared in a number of amateur productions, including plays by local playwrights John Newman-Holden and Tim Bull. After a first rejection, Lonsdale then graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Lonsdale is known as Police Officer Emma Taylor on Coronation Street. Taylor is married to veteran character Curly Watts, played by Kevin Kennedy. After giving birth, these two characters left the show in 2003. She then appeared regularly in the TV series The Bill. Lonsdale appeared as DI Eva Moore on the BBC Doctors Daytime Series.
