Ratiba Hefny is an international and Egyptian opera singer who has performed in over 500 opera performances. She is the dean of the Academy of Advanced Arab Music in Cairo. She became director of the Cairo Opera House in 1988. She grew up in a family of musicians, her father Mohamed Ahmed El-Hefny wrote over 45 books on music, and her grandmother and mother were from German descent, who is also a German opera singer. Ratiba started playing the piano at the age of 5. She also performed her singing voice for Snow White in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
