Rhys Karl Evans is an English former professional soccer player and goalkeeping coach. He plays as a goalkeeper, who has won twice for England under-21 caps. Born in Swindon, Wiltshire, he began his career at Chelsea, where he spent five years without playing a single game, but on loan to three other clubs. In 2003, he moved to his hometown club Swindon Town, where he played more than 100 games over three seasons. During his last season at Swindon, he won all the club's Player of the Year awards but after they were relegated to Football League Two he turned down a contract offer. new and signed with Blackpool instead.
