Directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon, and written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, the film stars the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Trey Parker, Coffin, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Jenny Slate, Dana Gaier, Nev Scharrel, and Julie Andrews. Despicable Me 3 premiered at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 14, 2017, and was released in the United States on June 30. The film received mixed reviews from critics and grossed over $1 billion worldwide. At the time of release, the film became the fourth-highest-grossing animated film of all time. The film is also the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2017.
