A teenage football player puts his career aspirations to the side to help raise his younger brother when their mom heads to rehab. The film was directed by Reginald Hudlin, and the screenplay was written by Nick Santora.

The movie is based upon the real life story of Ray McElrathbey who overcame odds to play football at Clemson University. Filming took place in South Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia.
