Cristián Eduardo Zapata Valencia is een Colombiaanse profvoetballer die momenteel als verdediger speelt voor de Genua-club uit de Serie A. Na een aantal seizoenen voor Udinese te hebben gespeeld, tekende Zapata bij de Spaanse club Villarreal. In 2012 keerde hij terug naar Italië, waar hij naar Milaan ging. De Colombiaanse international sinds 2008 vertegenwoordigde zijn land in de Copa-edities van 2011, 2015 en 2016 en 2019, evenals op de 2014 en 2018 FIFA Wereldbekers.

Na eerder voor Villarreal en Udinese te hebben gespeeld, trad hij in 2012 toe tot Milaan. In 2007 werd hij benoemd tot lid van het Colombiaanse nationale team.
