Gilles Jérôme Moehrle, ook wel bekend als Gilles Peterson, is een Britse presentator, DJ en platenlabeleigenaar van Engelse en Franse afkomst. Hij creëerde invloedrijke merken zoals Acid Jazz en Talkin 'Loud, en lanceerde zijn huidige bedrijf, Brownswood Recordings, in 2006. Hij ontving een ere-MBE in 2004, de AIM Award voor Indie Champion 2013, Mixmag Award voor Outstanding Contribution to Dance Music 2013 , PRS Award for Music for Outstanding Contribution to Radio Music 2014 en A&R Award van Producers Association Music in 2019. Gedurende zijn hele carrière heeft Peterson een centrale rol gespeeld bij het promoten van genres als jazz, hiphop en elektronische muziek.
