Bill Cowher
William Laird Cowher is een voormalig American football linebacker, coach en sportanalist die 15 seizoenen als hoofdcoach in de National Football League bij de Pittsburgh Steelers heeft gediend. Hij begon zijn coachingcarrière als assistent onder Marty Schottenheimer voor de Cleveland Browns en Kansas City Chiefs, waar hij van 1989 tot 1991 de defensieve coördinator van laatstgenoemde was. Cowher werd in 1992 benoemd tot hoofdcoach van de Steelers, die hij leidde tot zijn pensionering na de 2006 seizoen. Na zijn pensionering trad hij toe tot The NFL Today als studio-analist. Onder Cowher won Pittsburgh acht divisietitels, twee American Football Conference kampioenschapswedstrijden en één Super Bowl in Super Bowl XL over de Seattle Seahawks.
