Van 1951 tot 1954 was hij gastheer van "Bill Stulla's Parlor Party". Later presenteerde hij Cartoon Express op KHJ-TV 9 in Los Angeles van 1954 tot 1966; in deze functie won hij twee Emmy Awards. Naast de gebruikelijke tekenfilms, bevatte de show een spel genaamd "Red Light, Green Light", waarbij kinderen glazen melk kregen die ze zouden drinken als de omroeper "groen licht" zei en stopten met drinken als hij "rood licht" zei. Als ze hun glas op hadden voordat het spel voorbij was, verloren ze en werden ze "gulpers" genoemd. Ook te zien in de show was "Little Mo, the bad habit buster", waarin een klein model elektrische treinmotor probeerde een modelwagen met de "slechte gewoonte" van de week in een bak te duwen, die zich bovenaan een helling bevindt . Een nieuwe slechte gewoonte werd op maandag genoemd en de inspanning eindigde, meestal met succes, op vrijdag.
