Marvin "Smitty" Smith is een Amerikaanse drummer en jazzcomponist. Marvin Smith werd geboren in Waukegan, Illinois, waar zijn vader, Marvin Sr., drummer was. "Smitty" werd al op jonge leeftijd blootgesteld aan muziek, getraind in muziek toen hij nog maar drie jaar oud was.
