Raymond "Ray" Lynch is een Amerikaanse gitarist, monochord, toetsenist en songwriter. Hij begon zijn muzikale carrière in 1967 met optredens in The Renaissance Quartet in New York, voordat hij in 1974 vertrok en zijn muzikale carrière stopzette. Tijdens de pauze studeerde Lynch bij haar spirituele mentor, Adi Da, die haar uiteindelijk zou aanmoedigen om weer naar muziek te gaan. Lynch produceerde in de jaren tachtig en negentig verschillende albums, waaronder Deep Breakfast, No Blue Thing en Nothing Above My Shoulders but the Evening. Aanvankelijk produceerde Lynch zijn muziek in eigen beheer, maar uiteindelijk werkte hij samen met Music West. Nadat Lynch een rechtszaak had aangespannen en het bedrijf had verlaten, kwam Lynch in 1992 bij Windham Hill werken voordat ze in 2000 met pensioen ging. Lynch heeft drie Billboard-prijzen gewonnen.
