Benjamin Stewart Parsons is an American NASCAR driver, and later professional announcer / analyst / reporter on SETN, TBS, ABC, ESPN, NBC and TNT. He became the NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion in 1973 and was introduced to the 2017 NASCAR Hall of Fame. He is the brother of the former NASCAR car owner and announcer. He was nicknamed "BP" and professor, later in part because of his popular remarks and his relaxed demeanor. He was the founder of Rendezvous Ridge, a winery in North Carolina that opened its doors shortly after his death.
