Mehmet Cengiz Bozkurt is a Turkish actor. He is known for his role as Erdal Bakkal in the hit comedy series Leyla ile Mecnun. Graduated from Ankara Atatürk Lisesi in 1984, he enrolled at the Technical University of the Middle East to study physics but majored in theater in 1990. He then moved to England, where he lived for 14 years. . In 1996 he graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a research degree in "Media and Communication". He has filmed short documentaries for several channels and directed short films. He returned to the theater with the encouragement of Mehmet Ergen and worked at the Arcola Theater. Back in Turkey, he continued his career by appearing in numerous films and television series.
