He is a strong advocate of alternative forms of medicine such as magnetic healing. Palmer protests against anything he believes has anything to do with traditional medicine like vaccination. Palmer believes that the human body has an abundant supply of natural healing energy which is transmitted through the nervous system. He suggested that if an organ were affected by disease, that organ would not receive the normal "nerve supplies" he called "spinal deviation," or regression. He sees orthopedics as a form of correction to restore supply.
