Dean Kemp is a former Australian football player who played for the West Coast Eagles during the Australian Football Championship. Scouted from Subiaco in the Western Australian Football Championship, Kemp made his AFL debut in the first round of the 1990 AFL season with a 46-point Subiaco Oval win over final prime minister, Collingwood. He played 23 games and won the West Bank's Rookie of the Year award. In 1992, he played for the West Coast Premiership team and won the Australian nation-wide selection as well as the West Coast's Fair and Best award. In 1994, he played in the team's second division team and won the Norm Smith medal for the best category on the floor. He was selected for the 1996's Team and 2006's Team 20 for the Eagles. In 2001, he was elected teammate with Ben Cousins, but retired at the end of that season. Kemp has suffered many concussions throughout his career, including one from a barbaric blow from Mark Ricciuto, and his career was eventually cut off in part by the effects of many of these concussions. .
