Eduardo Cruz Villanueva, commonly known as "Bro. Eddie Villanueva", is a worldwide missionary and founding president of Jesus Is Lord Church. Villanueva was formerly an atheist communist, a radical activist and a street parliamentarian. During martial law, he was jailed twice for fighting alongside oppressed people for their rights against the trade unions to take the land. Villanueva is also the founder of the Advocacy for Jesus Movement in the Philippines, with more than forty bishops from different Catholic churches across the country. Villanueva served as a presidential candidate in the 2004 and 2010 Philippine elections and as a senator candidate in the Philippines midterm elections of 2013, all of which are standard bearers of the Bangon Pilipinas Party. Villanueva is a radio and television missionary that owns ZOE Broadcasting Network, a commercial radio and television station that owns VHF channel 11 and UHF channel 33 .
