Franck Avitabile is a jazz pianist, who also holds a discrete Master of Mathematics at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Avitabile was born in Lyon, France. At the age of 9, he began to study music at the Lyon Conservatory, notably Bach, Mozart and Debussy. At seventeen, he became interested in jazz, especially Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea. Later, he became the only musician to be produced by Michel Petrucciani. Both are synesthesian composers and performers. He is also the author of 60 published compositions. In 2016, Franck Avitabile became Michel Petrucciani's record producer with the album Both Worlds Live North Sea Jazz Festival, including a LIve with The Hague Philharmonic and a duet with Steve Gadd at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
